Breathe deeply and remember the silence...

"My paintings represent the pure,
simple and unsophisticated
presence of our natural being . . .

the lightness and fun
that touches the child in us
when we do what we really love."

A Beautifully Simple Vision

Deeply inspired by the Japanese aesthetic that discovers a state of grace in the mundane, Marilyn Batcheller embraces her exuberant love of color to express a joy and passion for life through surprisingly simple images. Her paintings create a sense of innocence and serenity that has endured for almost 50 years.

Marilyn's work has been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and major galleries across the country. Her paintings are included in many private and corporate collections, and she is still producing beautiful pieces today from her studio in Sonoma County, California.
